Male Support Assistant Required

We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive individual to support a young man with spinal injury in the Inverurie area.

You will support him with his rehabilitation programme guided by a case manager and therapists and support him to increase his independence, both at home and in the community. Training and supervision will be given.

This Role is 18 Hours per week – 6 Hours over 3 Days with a view to possibly being made permanent.

Excellent rates of pay from £9.65 up to £12.05 per hour.

This post may include evening and weekend shifts.

About You:

Essential

  • you are reliable and professional – you value honesty and discretion
  • you are friendly and approachable
  • you are flexible and you work well under pressure
  • you have a good sense of humour

Preferred

  • you have experience of supporting someone with a spinal injury
  • you have worked with people in their own homes
  • you have an interest in health and fitness

Support Assistant requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 months UK experience as a Care or Support Assistant
  • Existing PVG member, update required at a cost to yourself (£18 for existing PVG scheme members)
  • SSSC registration or 6 months to register from date of employment
  • Willingness to work above and beyond to maintain our high standards
