Maintenance Electrician

ASA are currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join our client’s leading facilities management team to cover the East of Scotland on a mobile basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of planned, reactive, repair and installation of electrical maintenance work across a portfolio of commercial contracts in the Edinburgh area.

Responsibilities and duties;

• Completion of pre-planned maintenance to mechanical & electrical plant and building fabric systems including but not limited to emergency lighting, AHU’s, FCU’s etc
• Provide exceptional maintenance services to our high profile clients and go the extra mile to deliver to the highest quality standards in all areas of your performance
• Reporting and recording procedures, including operation and maintenance logs and control measures to minimise risks
• Complete installation work
• Use handheld technology within allocated timescales
• Provide detailed write-ups of works carried out to ensure our client is kept up to date at all times
• Work as part of team members when required
• Work within SLA’s
• Supervision of sub-contractors
• High levels of health and safety
• Complete general maintenance duties across the client’s portfolio
• Deal with a variety of clients on a daily basis
• Provide regular out of hours cover on the a rota system

Qualifications and skills;

• A time served electrician with C&G or SVQ
• C&G Testing and Inspection would be desirable
• Previous experience in dealing with all types of electrical installation, service and maintenance work within the service sector
• Previous building fabric experience would be an advantage
• Water testing experience
• Happy to work in a client facing environment
• Strong customer service focus
• Good health and safety awareness and knowledge
• High levels of communication
• Full UK driving licence
• Achieve PVG clearance
