We’re recruiting an Accommodation Case Worker to join our client’s dynamic, Fife-wide Core and Cluster team. Based in Kirkcaldy, you’ll work closely with people who are homeless or at risk of losing their home, helping them build confidence, stability, and long-term resilience. This role offers the chance to be part of a service that champions strength-based, trauma-informed practice and is dedicated to delivering genuine, sustainable change.

  • Deliver tailored one-to-one support that empowers individuals to set and achieve personal goals.

  • Safely support people with a range of needs, including complex or multiple vulnerabilities.

  • Manage your caseload effectively, guiding individuals through transitions from temporary to more permanent housing.

  • Maintain accurate case notes, documentation, and outcome data to ensure quality and compliance.

  • Assist clients with occupancy paperwork, Housing Benefit applications, and tenancy-related tasks.

  • Promote tenancy sustainment, positive routines, and adherence to accommodation standards.

  • Work closely with colleagues and partner agencies to ensure coordinated, person-led support.

  • Participate in the rota to maintain safe, consistent service delivery.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in a client-facing role within housing, social care, or community support

  • Experience supporting people with complex needs such as trauma, mental health, substance use, or learning difficulties

  • SVQ2 in a relevant field (or working towards)

  • Understanding of homelessness and its wider social causes

  • Ability to manage a caseload and write clear, objective case notes

  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries and manage challenging situations

  • Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle (business insurance required), or the ability to travel throughout Fife
