Here at ASA we have an amazing opportunity and great benefits for individuals to join our hospitality team which is ever growing! We are currently looking for Cooks/Chefs to work within local care homes in locations such as: Kirkcaldy, Cupar, Methil, Glenrothes and Lochgelly. The times and days of work are:
Monday – Sunday from 7:00am – 18:00pm (flexible)

Can you handle the heat in the kitchen? The successful candidate should be or has previously worked as a cook. They should also be reliable, hardworking, and good at multitasking. We also expect that you have a good awareness of Food Hygiene and have a Food Hygiene certificate and understand the dangers of cross contamination to prevent the spread of infection.

The Cook role involves:
· As a cook, we would expect that you will be;
· Preparing, cooking and serving food
· Ensuring that food is presented well and looks appetising
· Ensuring that food is stored according to food hygiene legislation
· Minimising waste levels and disposing of food in an appropriate manner
· Carrying out food and fridge temperature checks, and recording as necessary
· Interacting with our service users on a daily basis
· Obtaining feedback on food, reporting any compliments, comments or complaints
· Making sure to take note of any allergies the service users may have.

What We Offer You:
· Weekly Pay from £13.00 per hour going up to £21.00 per hour on public holidays.

What We Require from You:
At least 6 months of references (one having to be your most recent employer), PVG member due to working within schools and nurseries or are eager to apply to become a member (we will do this through ASA Recruitment).
