Description

ASA Recruitment are looking for dedicated Care Home Chef’s to take charge of our client’s kitchen, preparing homely, well-balanced meals for our residents. You’ll be responsible for planning menus, accommodating special dietary requirements, and ensuring high food hygiene standards – all while adding a dash of love to every plate.

Responsibilities include:

*Prepare and serve meals that are tasty, wholesome, and tailored to residents’ needs
*Plan weekly menus with variety and nutritional value
*Cater to specific dietary needs (e.g. diabetic, soft diet, allergy-aware)
*Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in line with regulations
*Manage kitchen inventory and place food orders
*Create a warm, friendly mealtime experience for residents

About You:

*Previous experience in a similar chef or cook role (ideally in a care setting)
*Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards (Level 2/3 Food Safety Certificate preferred)
*A caring nature and a genuine interest in the wellbeing of older people
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team
*Good communication and organizational skills
