Care and Support Worker

ASA are seeking caring and compassionate individuals for Care and Support work in Inverurie, Aberdeenshire. Shifts are available over week days and weekends with shift times similar to 0700-1500 and 1500-2200. This opportunity will see you working with several different care settings from local care homes and sheltered housing for the elderly to supported living working with learning difficulties.

Who are we looking for?

You should be friendly, patient and reliable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude towards to your work. Ability to work independently and part of a team is an essential quality of the ideal candidate as well as being self-motivated and well organised. In this role, no two days are the same and you must work flexibly to meet the needs of those you are caring for. The successful applicant must be willing to apply for or update an existing PVG.

What’s involved?

• Assist and individuals to carry out personal care tasks, including toileting and washing
• Support residents in their day-to-day lives, including meals, cleaning and activities
• Provide moving and handling assistance where required
• Encourage independence to residents in daily activities
• Support the residents and their families by building safe and trusting relationships
• Accompany those you are supporting to access the community

In return, ASA can offer you competitive pay rates varying from £11 per hour to £17.99 per hour depending on the client and shift detail. You will also accrue additional holiday pay from your very first shift. We provide all staff working in a healthcare environment with free classroom training to support your continuous professional development delivered by our excellent dedicated trainers.
