We are looking for an Asset Management & Resident Liaison Officer to join our client’s Housing Services team. This temporary role will be central to delivering and monitoring housing projects and maintenance works, ensuring tenants, owners, and stakeholders are fully informed and engaged throughout. You’ll play a key role in supporting programmes of work from survey through to completion and defect resolution, while acting as the main point of contact for residents and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and monitor designated projects/ works, ensuring programmes are delivered within agreed timescales.
- Act as the central point of contact for tenants, owners, and stakeholders on housing projects.
- Manage resident communication, consultation, and engagement throughout project delivery.
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure high standards of work.
- Support Asset Management Surveyor and Maintenance Officers at project meetings, providing updates and addressing issues.
- Contribute to the development of resident-related policies and procedures in relation to asset management.
- Maintain accurate data and records using Microsoft Office and housing systems.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Strong project management and customer engagement skills.
- Experience as a clerk of works, maintenance officer, or similar role in social housing.
- Knowledge of Local Authority or RSL housing maintenance, asset management, or property management.
- Ability to handle challenging customer situations with empathy and professionalism.
- Strong planning and organisational skills, able to manage competing workloads and deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage multiple stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with experience managing data systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, showing initiative and professionalism.
Desirable:
- HND qualification or equivalent expertise.
- Membership (or eligibility for membership) of a relevant professional body.
