Architectural Officer

Description

Our client in Aberdeen are looking to recruit an Architectural Officer on an initial 12 week placement with the possibility to extend. The postholder will work as part of a design team to provide a full architectural and contract administration service for projects with support from a Senior Architect

The typical working week will be Monday to Friday ( 37 hours per week ) with a PAYE day rate of between £112 and £127.50 dependent on previous experience along with holiday accrual

Main duties of the role:

* Lead design teams as required including architectural staff, quantity surveyors, structural engineers, mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, inspectors of works and specialists in the provision of a design service and day to day administration of projects in accordance with agreed professional procedures
* Prepare design risk assessments and comply with the requirements of the Construction ( Design and Management ) [ CDM ] Regulations 2015 and other Health and Safety legislation

Required skills and experience:

* An ability to design and manage projects from inception to completion
* Knowledge of and proficient in the use of AutoCAD, Revit and other relevant software packages such as NBS Create and Microsoft Office
* Ability to meet competing deadlines prioritising own workload as required
* Demonstrate an understanding of relevant legislation including Scottish Building Standards, Construction Design and Management Regulations, Health and Safety at Work Act and other general health and safety legislation
* Ability to use analytical skills to process complex information and to produce creative solutions

Minimum requirements of postholder:

* HNC in Building or Architecture or equivalent
* HND / Degree in Building or Architecture or equivalent is desirable
