Description

We are seeking a proficient Internal Communications Manager to join a prominent public body. This role requires a strategic thinker with a knack for devising and executing impactful communication plans that resonate with the organisation’s vision and values.

The role is being offered as a contract until the end of June 2024, and is deemed to be inside IR35.

The Role:

As the Internal Communications Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative communication strategies aligned with the organisational goals. Your role involves curating compelling content across multiple internal channels, offering expert advice to senior leaders, and nurturing positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Working from central Edinburgh, this position offers a hybrid working model encompassing home, office, and on-location engagement as necessary.

Responsibilities:

· Develop and execute creative communication plans aligning with the organisational vision and values.
· Create, manage, and curate high-quality content for internal channels, including intranet posts and senior leadership briefings.
· Offer authoritative communication advice to colleagues, particularly on sensitive issues affecting the corporate functions and reputation.
· Foster and maintain robust relationships with internal stakeholders across the organisation.
· Advocate and promote corporate priorities through effective messaging and suitable channels.
· Evaluate communication strategies to refine and share insights for continual improvement.

Requirements:

· Demonstrable experience in a fast-paced communication environment, showcasing exceptional judgement and organisational skills.
· Excellent writing, editing, and digital skills, with an ability to adapt content for diverse audiences and channels within tight deadlines.
· Proficiency in data analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies and leverage insights for planning and execution.
· Proven ability to build influential relationships with stakeholders at various organisational levels, coupled with strong persuasive skills.

Package on Offer:

· Initial contract until end of June 2024
· Hybrid working
· Inside IR35.
