Are you an experienced Finance Officer looking for a new role in the public sector?

ASA Recruitment are looking to source an experienced Finance Officer to support the Finance and IT manager of a large Scottish public sector commission on either a part time or full-time basis in Edinburgh.

Key tasks
· To undertake the day to day operations of the Finance and Payroll Functions ensuring full compliance with Commission policies.
· To provide essential support regarding pensions and payroll administration and general ledger analysis and reconciliation work.
· To ensure efficient and accurate administration, analysis and reconciliation of payroll records and pension schemes ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and correct accounting.
· Provide support to the Finance and IT Manager in production of annual accounts in accordance with agreed timetable, ensuring efficient year end process.
· Provide and discuss budget analysis.

Key requirements
· Experience of all aspects of finance function from accounts payable through to management accounts preparation.
· Experience in a finance officer or equivalent role primarily in relation to payroll and pensions administration, general ledger reconciliations and analysis.
· Experience of dealing with key stakeholders at all levels both within the organisation and externally.
· Part qualified Accountancy qualification or qualified by experience.
