Are you an experienced Procurement Manager?

ASA Recruitment are working with Scotland’s largest public healthcare organisation to recruit an experienced Procurement Project Manager. This role is suitable for candidates based in the Edinburgh area.

If you started in this role today you would…

• To implement the procurement strategy and embed the strategic vision across the department to create an exemplar single system service which clearly supports strategic objectives
• Manage the contracting teams, implementing the re-design with support from the Deputy Head of Procurement, achieving financial targets, value for money and developing a culture of open communication and continual improvement
• Provide professional procurement and supply chain guidance for sourcing strategies including high value lease, PFI/PPP projects and ensure all activity is undertaken with a robust framework of corporate and statutory governance
• Lead on a programme of supplier rationalisation and standardisation, utilising the catalogue management approach to deliver control of spend, variety reduction, standardisation of product and reduction of stockholding

So, what are we looking for?

• Expert knowledge of procurement strategy acquired by professional qualification (CIPS) or equivalent experience
• Experienced procurement manager with sufficient relevant experience at a senior procurement level in a large commercial or public sector organisation
• Experience of successfully managing and leading major change
• Proven track record and expertise in developing Procurement Strategy, with evidence of continuing professional development
