Are you an experienced Head MICE Manager (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) looking for a new challenge within a top Destination Management Company?
Our client operates across the whole of Scotland. Their trusted relationships with hoteliers and other suppliers ensure that they can create world class events for the demanding MICE sector.
Your new role
ASA Recruitment are looking to recruit a skilled person who proactively is able to build a strong organisation around a MICE operation, define the products, establish a solid client base and form the processes from conception through operations and final account reconciliation. The initial work will be to take on the existing team and excellent reputation and to manage this business unit, from conception through to operations and final account reconciliation. Your day will include drawing up operational itineraries, making sure that all suppliers are booked. You will start to build up database for marketing and library of product knowledge. You will be on the spot when some events take place, making sure that it all runs smoothly.
Costing and creating winning proposals for clients – this will involve ongoing liaison with the client to ensure ongoing success of the project.
What you’ll need to succeed
· 5-8 years of experience working in a DMC, events company, or similar environment.
· Excellent knowledge of Scotland.
· Leading a team 7-10 employees.
· Fluent in English.
· Excellent Computer literacy – Proficiency in MS Office especially PowerPoint and Excel.
· Creative problem solver, team player, resourceful and clear communications skills.
· Ability to work extremely well under pressure and manage deadlines for multiple projects.
· Excellent attention to detail is key.
