Description

ASA Recruitment are working with a well-known Public Sector body to source a Finance Manager. As the Finance Manager you will be joining a new team to play a key role in shaping a new and emerging body.

The successful Finance Manager will be leading a multi-disciplinary team that enables the rest of the business to work effectively and efficiently. This is a 23 month contract, initially working from home but will be based in Edinburgh on return to office.

Main duties include:
· Provide and interpret financial information and then produce accurate financial monthly/quarterly reports to the Board to tight deadlines
· Monitor Cash flow and predict future trends
· Support the development of strategic and long-term business plans
· Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-effectiveness opportunities
· Manage financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems
· Build relationships with external stakeholders
· Manage payroll, VAT and HMRC processes teams
· Provide financial guidance and support across the organisation
· Liaise with auditors to ensure annual monitoring is carried out

Requirements:
· Experience managing finance and procurement teams
· Qualified accountant
· Member of accreditation body including CIPFA, CIMA, ACA or ACCA
· Strong technical accounting knowledge
· Experience of producing complex budgets up to multi-millions, creating accounts and running audits
