ASA Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Care Supervisor for a leading care provider based in Arbroath

As the Care Supervisor, you are responsible for the general supervision of care provision to Residents.Ensuring that they receive a complete person-centred care service, through the development of a comprehensive support plan. Mentoring, supervising, coaching, and assessing staff is one of the primary purposes of the role. You will be proactive in ensuring that quality care is provided to all Residents through the direct monitoring and influencing of staff performance and by acting as an excellent role model. Understanding the importance of and facilitation of activities within the Home.
Other responsibilities may include;
* Supervising the daily working practices of Staff to ensure that a high standard of resident care is being delivered within the Home.
* Liaising with the Manager on a daily basis and communicating with Staff at all levels.
* Monitoring the delivery of Support Plans, ensuring that Staff are aware of all care plans in place.
* Understand the content of support plans and can implement those care plans inclusive of individual resident risk assessments.
* Liaising with other Supervisors to ensure all support plans are current, meet individual resident needs, and are reviewed on a systematic basis.
* Taking charge of the floor ensuring that Residents personal care needs are met. That they are dressed appropriately and looking presentable.
* Check that Residents dignity is maintained at mealtimes and offering a clothes protector, should this be their choice.
* Undertake general care work and personal care if appropriate.
* Administering prescribed medication and maintaining the necessary records as per company guidelines.
* Considering the social and emotional development of Residents and ensuring that Staff act in a way that promotes positive self-esteem.
* Participate in developing support plans for new Residents.
* Ensuring all Staff work in a way that demonstrates an understanding and commitment to the rights of vulnerable adults including their dignity, privacy, and independence.
* Team Leader for designated Residents.
* Formal supervision of care assistants.

To be considered for this job you must have the below;
* Excellent supervisory skills
* SVQ3
* PDA or willing to work towards
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Good numerical and word processing skills
* Good understanding of GDPR and confidentiality
* Satisfactory PVG and SSSC register checks
