Senior Finance Analyst

Are you an experienced Senior Finance Analyst looking for a challenging new opportunity?

One of Scotland’s largest public sector body is looking to on board a Senior Finance Analyst into a well-established team for an initial 6 Month contract, working remotely.

Responsibilities:
· To build and develop a 10 year financial planning model which is fit for purpose and can easily be updated as key decisions are made
· To review the current systems and processes with the Corporate Finance function to identify opportunities for improvements through automation
· Work with the Corporate finance team members once models and new processes are implemented to review them in the live environment and make any adjustments, if necessary, to ensure they are fit for purpose
· To provide training and clear documented guidance to Corporate Finance staff.

Requirements:
· Experience in navigating audit and accounting requirements in relation to a high profile programme of work, and develop these in practice
· Confident in generating, identifying, interrogating and assessing appropriate financial data to support decision making, assuring appropriate accountability and value for public fund
· Effective leadership skills to be able to deliver results, promote collaborative working, and make connections across subject boundaries
· Professionally qualified accountant – CCAB/CIMA professional accountancy body or equivalent with up to date CPD
· Advanced Excel skills with experience of building and maintaining flexible financial models.
· Experience of working in a Project environment
· Proven ability to work on your own initiative, to deliver high quality outcomes and outputs and to meet deadlines whilst managing competing pressures
· Strong communication & leadership skills, both written and verbal, with a proven ability to explain financial information effectively to non-finance stakeholders and to influence change
· Change Management experience in impacting and communicating changes to business processes
· Awareness of GDPR/ Data privacy legislation
