Equality & Inclusion Network Coordinator

Description

We are seeking an Equality and Inclusion Network Coordinator to support our public sector client to establish and develop a suite of new staff networks to enhance engagement, promote equality of opportunity, enhance staff wellbeing and to support delivery of their Carer Positive work. Working from home but usually based in Edinburgh, this contract is until 31st March 2021 initially.

Main duties:

* Support the establishment and development of staff networks for under-represented minority, LGBTQ, disabled staff and for parents and carers
* Manage programme of development support for participants and allies;
* Establish and maintain partnerships at other organisations to share & develop practice.
* Work with the staff networks, the Equality and Diversity Adviser and other key colleagues to develop and implement an equalities and human rights communications plan
* Contribute to the Healthy Working Lives programme, supporting strategic links with staff networks to ensure that lived experience informs the Healthy Working Lives strategy. Enhance the delivery capacity for the programme

Essential:

* Strong commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion and demonstrable knowledge and capability in this field
* Demonstrable experience in supporting or facilitating staff networks or communities of practice
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to write for different audiences
* Excellent interpersonal skills
* Strong IT skills, including ability to facilitate virtual meetings and communities of practice using Microsoft Teams
