Stakeholder Engagement and Communications Manager

ASA Recruitment’s well-known public sector client are undergoing a large transformation in order to position it as a world leader in how we shape places for the well-being of its people. As a result, they are looking to bring in an experienced Stakeholder Engagement and Communication Manager to join a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities:

· Conduct a review of the current stakeholder engagement levels
· Develop a strategic plan to deepen engagement levels with previously identified stakeholders and broaden awareness and reach to stakeholders not fully engaged
· Define clear and measurable success criteria for stakeholder engagement including evaluation framework and measurement tools
· Design and oversee campaign of engagement, communications and events to support the programme for digital transformation of planning
· Support strategic decision-making and line management as a member of the management team
· Work with internal and external communications teams to develop thought leadership and insights content to help raise the profile and understanding of the impact and benefits of the transformation
· Create the conditions to enable a drum beat of messaging and stakeholder support that continue to shape the direction of the programme.
· Develop a sustainable stakeholder engagement and communications model including team and framework.
· Ensure Digital Planning stakeholder engagement and communications activities align with the planning reform agenda and support

Requirements:

· Ability to deliver stakeholder engagement, statutory consultation or communications for complex projects, ideally related to infrastructure development
· Experience of managing and developing successful teams with a passion for helping people maximise their potential
· Ability to confidently engage with people in different sectors and disciplines, present to peers and clients, and communicate with statutory and community stakeholders
· Proven experience in facilitating leadership coaching through one-to-one coaching to support effective stakeholder engagement and programme success
· Must have a proven track record of managing a complex stakeholder landscape
· Experience of providing engagement and events support in a project/ programme environment
