User Researcher

Are you an experienced User Researcher looking for your next contract in Edinburgh?

ASA’s public sector client is looking for a User Researcher to develop and run appropriate research methods to understand user needs for a service within their Business Development and Information department.

Responsibilities:

· Conducting exploratory user research that will bring out user needs
· Ensuring that usability testing is undertaken frequently, economically with appropriate users and measures as part of the development cycle
· Creating high & low fidelity prototypes based on existing design patterns that bring results from the research to life, complete with customer journeys
· Delivering UX feedback to Agile delivery teams to compliment sprint cycles
· Work as part of a multi-disciplined team to design user focussed and successful services
· Support the UX community and coach or pair with other members of the team

Requirements:

· Experienced in both qualitative and quantitative user research and analysis
· Expertise in designing interactions professionally for the public via the web & mobile
· Experience of Sketch and Invision or Axure
· A background of working with UX labs, mobile UX testing and pop-up research
· Knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards and principles
· Experience of working within an agile, multi-disciplinary team environment using lean UX technologies
· The ability to build and maintain excellent stakeholder relationships
· A Basic Disclosure certificate
