ASA are currently working with a large public sector client who are looking to hire a Senior DevOps Engineer on an initial 6 month contract in Glasgow.

If you are a motivated Senior DevOps Engineer who wants to help a large scale public sector organization continue their journey of automation, reliability, and performance then this is the role for you.

Tasks will include;
· Implement high-level technical requirements in a practical reliable, scalable, and performant way
· Provide coaching and mentoring to more junior colleagues
· Ensure due technical consideration is given to make processes repeatable, scalable, and secure
· Have a deep technical knowledge and experience in DevOps environments, providing support to delivery teams and solving complex problems
· Be expected to attend all associated Agile ceremonies and make use of collaborative tooling (Slack, Skype, Google Docs, Confluence, Jira).
· Adopt current, established ways of working and advise on improving them. The specialist will be pro-active in identifying areas to improve.
· Work as a team with our organisation and other suppliers
· Be transparent and collaborative when making decisions
· Have a no-blame culture and encourage people to learn from their mistakes
· Be comfortable standing up for their discipline

The ideal candidate will have the following experience;

* 5 years in a practical DevOps role
* Shows a firm grasp of DevOps and Agile methodologies
* Practical experience with RedHat/ Amazon Linux, ECS, and EC2
* 5 years coding with Python, Ansible
* Experience delivering CI/CD pipelines, ideally with Jenkins and Nexus
* Mentoring colleagues in automation, security, and reliability, within a DevOps context
* Identifying manual processes suitable for automation

ASA are currently working with a large public sector client who are looking to hire a Quality Assurance Engineer on an initial 6 month contract in Glasgow.

You have the opportunity to provide technical input to the organisations understanding and successful handover of a highly secure cloud based service from our delivery partner. You will be part of an approach that allows the organisation to adopt, manage, operate and evolve the design and build of its platform. You will contribute to supporting the SCRUM team, Service Owner and Lead Architect in ensuring the organisation has a fully managed, secure and successful service.
Specifically, we seek QA Engineer with experience of testing Java based web services and microservices (automated and manual) using a variety of tooling, who is passionate about working in agile environments, using continuous delivery techniques and experienced in building out automated tests to support CI/CD pipelines.

Daily tasks will include;
· Work as part of a small team of QA specialists ensuring test plans are understood, integrated, delivered and automated where possible
· Coordinate and manage test schedules
· Build and maintain testing artefacts, looking ahead for future opportunities or blockers, and ensuring decisions by teams align with the strategy
· Identify operational improvements and work to ensure a stable service that can be enhanced
· Anticipate and mitigate against project challenges or risks
· Work with and support third parties in providing testing services

The ideal candidate will come from the following background of experience;
· Best Practice test approaches
· Test Automation in CI/CD pipelines
· Selenium/WebDriver test automation
· Load testing tooling
· Performance testing tooling
· BDD test tooling (Gherkin/Cucumber)
