ASA Recruitment is delighted to be working alongside our client based in the South Lanarkshire area to find a strong and self-motivated Project Manager for a permanent role in the Oil and Gas sector.

The successful candidate should have a wealth of expertise in this area and the experience to organise and mobilize their team with complex projects whilst enduring a rapidly changing environment and conflicting priorities.
We are looking to speak to highly driven and self-confident individuals capable of leading a team to effectively complete each project and continuously raise the bar for future projects.

Key Responsibilities include:
· Establishing the set-up of project administration systems including the filing system
· The use of up to date project methodology and processes to implement and improve the current project management procedures across the company
· To provide assistance to the Tendering Department in the preparation and submission of tenders
· Effectively provide leadership, motivation and inspiration to the team
· Building and maintaining strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
· Providing overall management of projects through engineering, procurement and construction/fabrication phases
· A willingness to travel and work for short periods overseas

Additional responsibilities include:
· Visiting customers, consortium partners, suppliers, sub-contractors as necessary
· Combining analytical thinking and excellent problem solving skills with ability to explain complex issues to different levels within the company
· Establishing a strong and cohesive project team
· Ensuring all appropriate Health & Safety procedures are applied at all project locations
· To hold internal progress review meetings as necessary

Qualifications and Background:
· A degree in a relevant Engineering discipline or Quantity Surveying
· Minimum 10 years’ experience
· Previous experience of managing and leading large, complex projects
