ASA Recruitment currently have a requirement for a Technical officer to operate within the Greater Glasgow area for one of our local authority clients carrying out investigations into dog control incidents.
Duties Include:
· Investigate all reported dog control incidents within your defined geographical area.
· Take any appropriate action including written/verbal advice warning letters or DCN (dog control notice).
· Assist in the development of strategies for monitoring any dog control notice issued.
· Assist in the development and participate in strategies promoting more responsible dog ownership, including the production of advisory material for use in any talks or promotional events.
· Liaison with external agencies involved in dog control and welfare.
· Maintaining records of complaints, service requests, visits and advice on the appropriate database.
Qualifications/Competences:
· HNC in relevant animal related subject or equivalent demonstrable experience of dog control and enforcement.
· Experience of dog training and control techniques especially relating to undisciplined animals.
· Experience of teaching owners best practice relating to their dogs and assisting them with any control related questions.
