Catering Assistant

ASA are looking to recruit strong experienced Catering Assistants to work with our client in Aberdeen. This temporary position would see you working across various sites in areas of Aberdeen including Dyce, Bridge of Don, Kingswells and Mastrick. Shift times can vary from 4 hour shifts up to 12 hour shifts.

Catering Assistant Responsibilities:
· Supporting the cook in charge and wider staff team
· Assisting in food preparation using safe methods of food hygiene
· Practising safe use of equipment and cleaning agents, following COSHH regulations
· Cleaning, organising and stocking the kitchen
· Washing of any cutlery, utensils and dishes

Requirements for the role include:
· Experience in a kitchen based position, specifically in a healthcare environment is beneficial
· High organisation skills with positive work ethic
· Knowledge of food hygiene and COSHH regulations
· PVG certificate – update if already held or new application if not

Working as a Catering Assistant with ASA you will have a pay rate of £10.99 for week day shifts and £15.39 for weekends and will additionally accrue holiday pay for every hour worked starting from your very first shift.
