Our client is seeking an experienced Test Lead to join their government department to be a key part of their digital transformation. There is an ongoing investment into Oracle Fusion Cloud with the aim of using this to make key functions more effective and user friendly.
The role is based in Edinburgh city centre with hybrid working. The role is offering a contract until September 2024, with possible extensions after this. The role is inside IR35.
The Role:
This Test Lead role is to be part of a team that ensures this technology functions correctly. The Test Lead will help to create plans for testing the technology in various ways, mainly for reliability and functionality. The Test Lead will also be responsible for setting up tools to make testing and managing the technology easier, as well as planning for future updates.
Responsibilities:
· Implement the existing Test Strategy, including working with suppliers for Release, Configuration, and Environment Management.
· Create and execute Test Plans for all phases, covering Supplier Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Regression Testing, Non-Functional Requirement (NFR) Testing, Operational Acceptance Testing, and Payment comparison testing.
· Ensure quality and reliability of Supplier software deployments, securing approvals.
· Collaborate with project managers, third-party developers, administrators, and stakeholders for comprehensive test coverage and Plan approval.
· Manage Release readiness reviews, adhering to criteria.
· Implement tools for test and release management, including recording manual tests, defect management, and providing test metrics.
· Oversee NFR tests (performance, resilience, usability, accessibility) across projects.
· Collaborate with Programme Management to define needed resources and tools for Test and Release Management.
· Develop a Business As Usual Regression strategy for quarterly Oracle FUSION releases.
Requirements:
· Experience in testing Oracle Cloud applications, particularly in areas like Oracle Financials (e.g., Procure To Pay, Order To Cash, Record To Report, EPM/Reporting) or any Oracle Financial Modules.
· Proficiency in creating, documenting, and conducting test scenarios on Oracle Cloud.
· Capable of deriving test scenarios and scripts based on business process requirements.
· Skilled in managing and addressing defects identified during end-user testing.
· Experienced in leadership and teamwork to facilitate coordination among the Testing team, Oracle implementation Partner, and End users.
Package on Offer:
