Description

Our client in Aberdeen require a Technical Assistant ( Roads ) to provide technical support which contributes to maintaining the road network in good condition

Typical working hours will be Monday – Friday 8am – 4pm ( but may vary ) with an hourly rate of £8.88 per hour ( PAYE ) with holiday pay accrual on an initial 12 week basis with a view to extending.

The postholder will be expected to:

* Collate, manage and update performance information and technical records
* Manage specialised computer systems relevant to the team
* Collate and update financial monitoring information
* Carry out basic technical tasks both in the office and on site
* Carry out their duties in compliance with health and safety regulations and procedures and in compliance with the client’s QA system

Skills and competencies required:

* Ability to manage and prioritise a busy workload
* Use specialised computer systems including Symology and Confirm

The postholder must be able to demonstrate the following organisational behaviours:

Requirements for the role:

* Full driving license
* Standard Grade or equivalent in Maths and English
* Be prepared to work outdoors on site in all weathers
* Be prepared to work outwith normal working hours where required

Postholder must have undertaken or be committed to undertaking the following development:

* Health and safety training
* ICT Security ( online training module )
* Data Protection ( online training module )
* Training appropriate to the role as required, eg computer system training
