Description

Are you an experienced Business Performance Analyst looking for a fixed term contract based in Aberdeen? Then we have the role for you!

Your new role

The Performance Analyst role sits within the Business Management and Performance Unit (BMPU) which consists of the Programme Management Office, Business Planning and Performance Reporting, and Information Governance functions.

The main purpose of the role is to gather, interrogate and analyse information and data drawn from the business planning, performance management, programme and project management processes, with the aim of turning the data into insights, including data visualisation, that informs decisions.

The post holder will ensure that the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), the Board, the Audit and Risk Committee (ARC), and other governance bodies, each receives the information they require to make decisions and provide assurance on, for example, business performance, programme and project delivery, risk and finance.

Some travel within the UK may be required depending on the nature of the work e.g. to attend relevant meetings and training.

You will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the business planning, risk management, performance and programme management processes through the collation, interrogation and analysis of all business information and data
  • Managing the business performance reporting framework including timely review of supporting performance documentation
  • Turning data into insights, including data visualisation, that informs decisions, ensuring that data is presented in a visual manner appropriate to the audience
  • Supporting teams in developing KPIs and percentage thresholds in order to increase organisational effectiveness
  • Coordinating business and programme Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), milestones, interdependencies and escalating areas of concern

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Proven work experience of collating, analysing, interrogating and presenting information and data in an effective and visual manner appropriate to the audience
  • An ability to make the best use of technology in support of your role
  • Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage several strands of work at once and deliver work to a high standard to fixed deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all forms of communication methods and tools, and the ability to build good working relationships with a wide range of colleagues and stakeholders, both internal and external
