Are you an experienced Contracts Manager?

ASA Recruitment are working with a large Scottish University to source a highly experienced Contracts Manager. This role is suitable for candidates based in Scotland’s Central Belt.

If you started in this role today you would be…

• Negotiating and agreeing contracts on behalf of the University, managing legal and commercial risk, maximising financial return and protecting academic and University interests
• Consultation and advice with academic stakeholders to ensure delivery in line with strategic need, and that accepted levels of risk are clearly communicated so that they can be effectively managed through project delivery
• Confidentiality agreements, material transfer agreements, assignments, secondments
• Liaise with finance colleagues to document and communicate financial conditions of concluded contracts so that accounts are properly established for claiming and receipt of external funding

So, what are we looking for?

• A degree in law or extensive professional experience of contract negotiations in a comparable role
• Extensive experience of client-facing contracting and ability to provide commercial advice and take a pragmatic approach to solving legal and other problems
• Experience of advising and contracting in relation to intellectual property, data and proprietary information/knowledge
