Assistant Fund Accountant

ASA are delighted to be working alongside a prestigious professional services firm looking to add an Assistant Fund Accountant to their established team. The city centre based role requires a candidate who has either started or is in the process of beginning their studies towards a professional accountancy qualification.

Ideally you will have gained some form of fund accounting experience but a motivated candidate with a strong accounting background, ideally from a professional services or chartered accountancy organisation, may also fit the profile. Strong Excel skills and a genuine interest in investment management are key for this role.

The Role:
– Assisting the Fund Accountant with a number of duties
– Preparing Audit packs
– Monthly trustee / control packs
– Preparing accurate reconciliations, allowing for the production of accurate reports
– Effectively communicate with clients
– Understanding regulatory framework and its implications
– Understanding the risks to clients and how these can be rectified
– Showing an understanding and application of the Group’s Conduct Risk Framework
– Meeting client KPI’s and service delivery commitments

The Candidate:
– A strong background in either a professional services or practice organisation
– Studying towards a professional accounting qualification
– Well-developed Microsoft Excel skills
– The ability to deliver excellent service
– Strong attention to detail
– The ability to effectively communicate in a professional manner with both internal and external stakeholders
– A willingness to work as part of a team and take on additional duties as and when required

The successful applicant for this Assistant Fund Accountant opportunity will exhibit the above characteristics and be keen to progress within the professional services sector. In return an attractive salary of between £20,000 and £22,000 is on offer along with a number of other benefits.
