Are you experienced in Procurement?

ASA Recruitment are looking to source an experienced Strategic Procurement Specialist to assist Scotland’s largest public sector client. This role is suitable for candidates based in Scotland’s Central Belt.

If you started in this role today you would…

• Support the delivery of a high-profile programme to design and implement targeted contract and grant reviews, renegotiation and demand management to deliver spend reductions
• Support the exploration of all avenues for spend reduction and cost management across major contracts and grants, demonstrating high quality commercial skills
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers whilst understanding the political sensitivities
• Ensure that all commercial, procurement, reputational and policy delivery risks are articulated, understood and managed appropriately

So, what are we looking for?

• Strong knowledge in all aspects of strategic procurement process with clear working knowledge of end-to-end public procurement legislation in higher regulated procurements
• Experience in strategic procurement techniques, demand management, supplier management and negotiation are essential
• Excellent customer relationship management skills
