Are you a qualified Accountant?

ASA Recruitment are working with Scotland’s largest public sector client to recruit an experienced Accountant to join their busy transportation division. This role is suitable for candidates based in the Glasgow area.

If you started in this role today you would…

• Act as senior finance liaison between finance colleagues, across multiple organisations, and the third party accountancy firm in calculating any margin sharing settlement at operator level
• Generate suitable reports from payment systems and other sources to report on the impact of the reconciliation, ensuring that any repayments made by operators are correctly calculated and received
• Accurately report and explain any variances from budget and identify key financial performance therein
• Apply current technical accounting developments in robustly challenging bus operators on the acceptability of the reconciliation submission and the type and level of evidence required to support operator submissions

So, what are we looking for?

• CCAB Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA, ICAS, Chartered Accountant)
• Experience of reporting at director/board level
• Experience of forensic accounting would be advantageous
