We have multiple opportunities for Catering Assistants within local schools in Aberdeen City. Shifts are working over lunchtime doing either 10 or 12.5 hours per week. Locations we are looking to cover include AB10, AB11, AB12, AB15, AB16, AB22 and AB24.

What are the duties of a Catering Assistant?

• Working successfully alongside the cook and other catering assistants
• Assisting in food preparation using safe methods of food hygiene
• Serving food to pupils at lunchtime
• Complying with health and safety guidelines and PPE requirements
• Practising safe use of equipment and cleaning agents while cleaning kitchen
• Cleaning, organising and stocking the kitchen where required

Who is the ideal candidate?

We are looking for applicants that have similar type of experience in a kitchen. You will need to be a team player with good communication skills. Someone with a friendly and approachable nature would be ideal for this role. This role requires a PVG for children and applicants should be willing to apply for a PVG if not already held or be willing to update an existing PVG.
