Part Time Cook

ASA are delighted to be continuing work with our client based in Laurencekirk, this time recruiting for a part time Cook. This position is based in a friendly local care home which provides residential care up to 22 residents. You will be working alongside another full time cook and working days and hours can be mutually agreed with the client to meet their requirements.

The ideal applicant;
· Has a genuine interest and passion for being in the kitchen
· Is extremely reliable
· Can multitask and manage their work load efficiently
· Is ready to hit the ground running in the kitchen environment
Applicants must have their own Food Hygiene and Allergens certificates. Existing PVG certificate is beneficial (update required) or new application required prior to employment.

Duties may include;
· Preparing, cooking and serving of meals in a safe, hygienic and efficient manner
· Contributing to menu planning for healthy and nutritious meals while catering to dietary requirements and allergies
· Maintain high standards of hygiene at all times
· Safe use of all kitchen equipment
· Monitoring and recording of kitchen temperatures
· Accurately labelling fridge and freezer items
· Monitoring portion control and minimising wastage

This position is initially temporary, however has the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. ASA can offer £13 per hour for this assignment with additionally accrued holiday pay. Our consultants are on hand for support every step of the way and even have an on call service for any evening or weekend queries.
