Senior Designer – Piping

Description

Working as part of the Design team, you will produce and check engineering design deliverables as well as ensuring that designs meet project requirements. Hybrid working is available and the role will be split between their Aberdeen office and home / remote working.

You will be responsible for:

• Execute piping discipline design activities within budget and schedule, while maintaining technical integrity
• Execute design and draughting activities (Concept, FEED, Technical Study & Detailed Design)
• Prepare piping drawings and designs from agreed workscopes within minimum technical integrity
• Assessing effectiveness of working practices and systems within a view to continuously improving systems, personal and team performance
• Ensure that designs comply with the relevant procedures and regulations
• Carry out work in accordance with project Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality systems
• Identify scope and schedule changes in accordance with the MoC Process
• Ensure, as far as practically possible, that all assigned work is carried out in compliance with agreed budget and schedule
• Prepare estimates and schedules and assist in their review
• Maintain good communication with the client, carry out site visits and surveys when necessary

What you’ll need to succeed

• Minimum of 5 years Piping Design experience in delivery of piping projects
• Experience in carrying out on/offshore FEED and detailed design piping surveys and providing technical direction to DV Surveyors
• Highly competent in the use of Autodesk Design products
• Exposure to people management
• Right to work in the UK
• Survival BOSIET/FOET with CA-EBS M MIST
• Excellent written and spoken English
