EXPERIENCED INDUSTRIAL JANITOR

Are you an experienced INDUSTRIAL JANITOR currently looking for on-going possibly permanent work in IRVINE

ASA Recruitment are currently working alongside our FM client and they are looking for an EXPERIENCED INDUSTRIAL JANITOR to work day shifts Monday to Friday on their client’s manufacturing site in IRVINE Ayrshire.

PURPOSE OF JOB:

• Carry out all hygiene tasks required by the hygiene rota in each respective area that has been assigned within a hot glass manufacturing factory environment.

HOURS OF WORK: MONDAY TO FRIDAY 08.00hrs / 15.00hrs

PAY RATE: £10.20ph x 35 hours per week

Duties & Accountabilities:

• Carry out all hygiene tasks required by the hygiene rota in each respective area that has been assigned.
• Prepare and be responsible for any cleaning equipment used to carry out hygiene duties.
• Maintain, replenish and be accountable for stocks of cleaning materials.
• Be fully conversant with the operation and care of any mechanical cleaning equipment used in conjunction with your hygiene duties
• Be fully conversant with the safe preparation, handling, and disposal of cleaning chemicals and disinfectants used in conjunction with your hygiene duties
• Be fully conversant with the requirements of both the MCA and FDA with respect to Good Manufacturing Practice and hygiene standards
• Assist in any Ad HOC requests
• Report immediately any incident or accident such as fire, theft, loss, damage
• Cover in other areas during periods of holiday and sickness
• Carry out any reasonable task as directed by management
• Ensure that all equipment if kept scrupulously clean and maintained in good, safe working order.
• Any faults to be reported to the line manager
• Litter Picking
• Working in the mould Shop
• Cleaning the Hot end
• Cleaning the Cold end
• Working in the Batch and Furnace
• Working in the BOSH
• Clean toilets throughout the site
• To provide a daily hygiene service in accordance with on-site working procedures

Essential: Skills, Knowledge and Experience of working in a manufacturing environment.

• Have all round cleaning factory/ manufacturing experience
• Be able to work on own initiative and manage own time
• Be able to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues and management team
• Have good knowledge of H&S and COSHH
• Comply with company and factory statutory regulations relating to safe systems of work health and safety, hygiene, cleanliness and COSHH
• Cleaning the Cold end
• Cleaning hot end
• Excellent customer service skills and safety practices
• High Level of personal hygiene and appearance paying particular attention to hands and finger nails, hair and general appearance.
• Adherence to clients on site Drug and Alcohol policy
• To deliver a consistent level of service within the company’s standards and supplier specifications
• Participate in any necessary training and team meetings as required to complete job to the company and client standards.
