ASA are currently seeking an Intelligence Development Officer to provide expertise on intelligence matters for a key public sector client based in the Scottish Central belt.

The Intelligence Development Officer role:

• Deputise for the Intelligence Manager and will provide expertise on intelligence matters for the client
• play a key supporting role for the client in its aims to deliver better outcomes for consumers in Scotland and to fulfil its responsibilities as central competent authority for food and feed matters in Scotland
• Support and direct the collection, recording, analysis, development and dissemination of criminal intelligence
• Provide and co-ordinate the collation and appropriate dissemination of coherent, authoritative reports, bulletins, briefings, etc., in relation to identified threats, risks and other related issues, for the benefit of internal and, where necessary, external stakeholders.
• Provide expert support and guidance on Food Crime intelligence matters for internal and external stakeholders

Successful candidates for the Intelligence Development Officer role will need:

• A strong ability to communicate and present to an array of different stakeholders.
• Substantial experience in delivering intelligence products and use of crime analysis tools, methodology, internet investigations and specialist software.
• Strong role-related experience in a confidential law enforcement type environment
