ASA Recruitment are working alongside a very well-known and large public sector client who are currently recruiting for a Finance Lead to join their team as soon as possible in the Scottish Central belt

A Finance Lead’s Main duties:

• To ensure all financial records are managed effectively while being able to produce monthly reports.
• Supporting the key business cases underpinning the current programme.
• Take lead on the month end process which includes alignment of forecast actuals and budgets.
• Responsible for overseeing the financial position of the allocated budget holders and understanding their cost drives and future planning for the year.
• Lead on providing finance advice on governance to stakeholders, involvement in the Quality Review of Programme Artefacts and provide presentation for board sign off.

The Requirements for a Finance Lead role:

• Hold a CCAB Financial qualification or be in final stages of qualification.
• Working knowledge of financial ledger systems and Excel
• Strong analytic and reconciliation skills.
• Excellent organisation skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and work on own initiative, identify key issues and deliver a range of tasks within strict deadlines.
• Great communication skills (written and verbal) and experience with stakeholder management.
