Care Manager

ASA Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Manager within Very Sheltered Housing and Day Care.

This role will be based between 2 sites in South Lanarkshire Larkhall and East Kilbride – travel will be required between these 2 sites.

Responsibilities include;
– To oversee the provision of housing management and care services provided within the sheltered housing and day care.
– To lead, manage and motivate staff using a teamwork approach and ensuring the development is staffed adequately in line with arrangements.
– To be responsible for recruitment of staff within the development.
– To ensure open communication is carried out at all times with tenants and prospect tenants including managing accounts, rent and arrears.
– To be responsible for budgets and expenditure associated with the service.

Other responsibilities may include;
– To assist and share any knowledge with other colleagues and team.
– To undertake any duties delegate by line manager.
– Operate within a strategic business unit (SBU).
– Deliver Key Performance Indicators through a person performance plan.
– Analyse work and produce an action plan where improvement in performance is required.

To be considered for this job you must have the below;
– A broad understanding of housing management , housing support and care services environment.
– Able to liaise with external agencies and maintain a good operational working partnership.
– Able to manage budgets and report variances ensuring money is accountable for at all times.
– A wide knowledge of the ability to run services in accordance with regulatory requirements including; Care Commission service standards and SSSC.
– Health and Safety at work skills including; risk assessments, accident reporting and investigation and also safety as a standard practice.

Education/Qualifications
– Three years experiences within the role or a similar role.
– Must be registered with SSSC
– Hold or be able to obtain a basic food standard certificate
– Hold or be able to obtain emergency first aid certificate
– Hold or be able to obtain a PVG
