Description

ASA Recruitment are currently looking for a Lead Planner to assist one of our key clients with a back log in planning applications in their Environmental department.

Duties
· To undertake the planning application process including plan vetting, site inspections, approval of planning applications, appeals and planning committees
· To investigate planning applications and to ensure that any approvals are within the current Scottish standards
· To monitor the dispensation of planning conditions, initiating the appropriate enforcement action, as required
· Responsible for risk and issue management within their service and liaising with colleagues to manage and mitigate these risk and issues

Candidate
· Degree, or equivalent in Planning or related discipline
· Experience of dealing with major planning applications and appeals
· Demonstrable post-graduate and practical experience in a planning environment
