Description

In order to assist service users in Falkirk to achieve optimal levels of independence, it is essential to take in account all aspects of independence, not solely an individual’s mobility. Experienced Social Workers and Occupational Therapists will understand the magnitude of components that contribute to an individual’s independence outside of their physical mobility and take a holistic approach to assessing quality of life and individual needs.

With this in mind, our local authority client are looking for a Social Worker and Occupational Therapist to work with a Community Care team working with vulnerable adults with Falkirk. Using your creative approach to problem solving you will use the team’s resources to engage with service users and promote positive outcomes for their physical, psychological and social well-being. In undertaking assessment you will be able to determine appropriate packages of care and implement these in a timely manner.

As well as working within a team of Social Care Professionals, such as additional Social Workers, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapists and Mental Health Officers, you will communicate with the service users’ family and/or carers as concerning the provisions of the care package and where relevant, equipment and adaptations.

You will document your case load in accurate notes using computer systems so the proficient use of IT is obligatory for the successful Social Worker and Occupational Therapist within Falkirk’s Community Care team. In addition to having a good level of IT skills, to be considered for the role you must:

Be a Qualified Occupational Therapist or Social Worker
Have experience working within an Adults’ Service
Be a member of the PVG scheme and willing to undertake and update
Have a UK driver’s licence
