Social workers have a distinguished skill set and knowledge that can safeguard society’s vulnerable adults and children and facilitate positive outcomes for them. A hospital based Social Worker is required to promote the values of Social Work in their work within a dynamic hospital discharge team for at risk adults in the Scottish Borders on a locum basis.

Offering a competitive Social Worker salary, the desire qualified Social Worker for our client will be available full-time for a minimum of three months and will be able to commute to the Scottish Borders where they will be based for work with adults who have been admitted and are due to be discharged or have been discharged and require home assessments.

Our Borders based client is seeking a Social Worker with the following:

· Qualification in Social Worker with membership with the SSSC certifying this
· Availability to begin full-time, ASAP
· A PVG membership and willingness to undertake an update
· Experience working within a hospital setting with vulnerable adults
· Reviewing and adapting packages of care
· A car driver and owner

The rewarding position of Social Worker with the Scottish Borders will require some multi-disciplinary working with other health and social care professionals to support achieving the best possible results for adults within your caseload. These could include Social Work Assistants, Family Support Workers, Occupational Therapists, Nurses and Counsellors.
