Risk Management Advisor

Description

Our client in Dundee are recruiting for a Risk Assessment Advisor on an initial 6 month placement. The postholder will be responsible for the development of the organisation’s Risk Management Strategy and embedding risk management best practise for a large upscaling project of over 1900+ staff. This will include specialist support to enable the making of more informed longer term decisions on resource for this area

The typical working week will be 37 hours ( Monday – Friday ) on PAYE rate of £188 – £234 per day plus holiday accrual. This role will require remote working likely to be for the duration of the contract

Main responsibilities of the role:

* Review the existing Risk Management arrangements including our Risk Strategy, processes / procedures, approach to risk appetite and reporting structure
* Outline an overall picture of how best to manage risk in a quickly growing organisation
* Re-evaluate current procedures and guidelines so as to ensure that established procedures align with our statutory and strategic objectives
* Manage how the organisation match budget to risks, ensure these are aligned and manage this process
* Determine how to manage most effectively strategic vs project risk so the organisation has a seamless process for each

Previous experience / skills required:

* Ability to design and implement an overall risk management process which includes an analysis of the financial impact on the company when risks occur
* Creating business continuity plans to limit risks
* Conducting policy and compliance audits, which will include liaising with internal and external auditors
* Building risk awareness amongst staff by providing support and training within the company
* Risk reporting tailored to the relevant audience – ensuring business heads understand the risks that might affect their departments; ensuring individuals understand their own accountability for individual risks
