Support Worker

ASA are excited to be recruiting for Support Workers for one of our highly valued clients in rural Aberdeenshire between Stonehaven and Laurencekirk. Please note due to the location this role is only suitable for those with their own transport as there are no public transport links. Our client is a small but lively residential support service for adults with disabilities. They have a highlighted focus on involvement in fun activities and workshops allowing residents a broad range of life experiences.

Working with this client will bring new tasks and challenges to take on every day, however typical responsibilities will include;

• Assistance with personal care where required
• Getting involved with domestic tasks while encouraging those you are working with to join
• Support at mealtimes and with cooking responsibilities
• Taking part in activities and events with the community
• Administering of medication

Applicants must have SVQ 2 or 3 in Social Care due to requirements to administer medication as well as 6 months UK work experience in a similar setting. We are looking for candidates that are dedicated and passionate about making a huge difference to the lives of others and are ready to take on what is required to be successful. Applicants will be required to update an existing PVG or make a new application prior to employment. Own transport is essential to access the location.

While working with ASA we can offer you flexible work life with choice over the shifts you work. On offer for this role is an hourly rate of £12 week day and £12.75 nights and weekends. Our experienced trainers provide practical classroom training free of charge to allow you to keep up to date with current knowledge and practice.
