Description

Our client require an experienced Vehicle Workshop Supervisor for their Fleet Workshop in Aberdeen.

Reporting to our client’s Workshop Manager you will be required to undertake the following:

– Supervise the running and operation of the Fleet Workshop ensuring programmes of repair and maintenance are achieved
– Ensure all repairs and maintenance meet the requirements of relevant legislation and quality standards
– Ensure staff are fully trained in workshop procedures and standards
– Ensure that the user services are compliant with regard to the client’s responsibilities under legislation and regulations pertaining to their fleet
– Ensure the workshop has sufficient materials and resources available to provide high standards of service
– Ensure the workshop meets its business requirements and customer needs in relation to external repairs / servicing work and private MOTs

Our client requires the successful applicant to have experience of:

– Supervising staff within a workshop environment
– Proven track record of effectively managing resources in order to achieve excellence in service and delivery capability
– Experience of repairing and maintaining a range of vehicles, plant and equipment
– Comprehensive understanding of legislation relating to vehicles, transport and Health & Safety
– Understanding of quality assurance and management standards such as ISO9001

Job specific competencies:

– Proven ability to achieve continuous improvements in delivery of services and performance of staff
– Ability to organise own work to meet deadlines
– Proven ability to communicate clearly, concisely and persuasively with a range of audiences
– Proven ability to maximise resources and ensure quality and best value
– Proven ability to manage customer relationships

To be considered for this role you will:

– Be a time served mechanic with a minimum City & Guild or equivalent
– Hold a Category C ( HGV ) Licence
– Hold a Full Driver’s CPC ( Certificate of Professional Competence )

– An hourly rate of between £15 – £17 per hour, plus holiday pay.
– Typical working hours are 8am-4pm Mon to Fri (but may vary)
