Technical Delivery

Description

ASA are currently working with an Educational Institute in Glasgow who are looking for a Technical Delivery Manager on an initial 6 month contract.

The post holder is responsible for leading a team of technical specialists to ensure the effective delivery of the complete portfolio of technical requirements for a Student Information Management System (SIMS) project, and particularly:

· Tribal e-vision SITS system as a fully-managed system service
· Implementation of technical platforms and bespoke solutions for migrations, integrations, and reports
· System technical administration, management of configuration, and solution release and deployment

The ideal candidate will have the following experience;

· Significant relevant management and leadership experience and/or substantial experience of, and proven success in specialist area
· Comprehensive understanding of the University’s structures and systems and external/sector developments, regulations and requirements
· Experience of managing and developing one or more teams containing experienced professionals
· Experience of working with, and influencing, senior management
· Experience of managing and controlling budgets/resources/funding and an understanding of financial management procedures
· Experience of contributing to strategic planning processes
· Well-developed knowledge of systems/services for own area

Key responsibilities;

· Leading a team of Business Analysis, Test Leads, Technical Architects, Analyst Developer Leads and Configuration & Release Leads
· Document and implement an approach and strategy for identifying and delivering all technical elements of the project
· Develop and implement system security and access management controls
· Develop and implement an appropriate set of service standards and procedures to effectively deliver technical elements of the project, particularly where interfacing with the vendor, business leads and internal IS team
· Document the to-be and as-built technical architecture for all technical elements of the project
· Implement an appropriate change proposal, analysis and approval process for technical development
· Make ready and transition all technical work streams into an operational and support mode, with appropriate processes developed and handed-over to IS business-as-usual teams
