Diligent Team Managers are vital components for a successful workforce and for Falkirk’s Children and Families’ Services it is no exception.

A proactive Social Work Team manager is sought by our local authority clients to be the change to Falkirk’s Children and Families Service. Therefore, we are seeking a locum Team Manager, earning up to £40 per hour that we feel confident can make a difference to vulnerable children and families within the local community.

The successful Social Work Team Manager will assist the Head of Service and additional Children’s Social Care managers to supervise and improve Children and Families’ Social Work Services in Falkirk. Forging positive partnerships with the Education, Criminal Justice and Housing Services, you will seek to facilitate the operational development and oversee the provisions of high quality assessments for Falkirk’s children and Families in need.

Keeping in mind the team’s key values as well as their policies, as a Team Manager you will have the responsibility to monitor resources and approach the service’s budget practically to meet the requirements of staff and service users across Falkirk alike.

Applying your experiences as a Social Worker, you will prioritise and allocate duties for the team of Social Workers, Social Work Assistant and Support Workers to adhere to the children and families’ services demands in Falkirk.

Located in Falkirk, commutable from both Edinburgh and Glasgow, this role is offering the successful Social Work Manager a three month minimum contract and a generous rate of pay. To be considered for the role of Social Work Team Manager within Falkirk’s Children and Families service you must have the following:

· Registration as a Qualified Social Worker with the SSSC

· Membership to the PVG scheme and willingness to undertake an update

· A UK Driver’s Licence (insured for business use).

· Previous experience working as a Social Work Team Manager in a local authority.

· Availability to begin ASAP
