Sheltered Housing Support Worker

ASA are currently recruiting for experienced Support Workers to work within sheltered housing services in Glasgow.

This work is ongoing, on a regular basis with either morning or evening shifts available 7 days a week. A typical morning shift would be 7am-1pm and 4pm-10pm for the evening with mileage paid for travel to and from work. There are also opportunities here for permanent positions.

The role of a Support Worker within these sites is busy and varied but core duties will include –

Working to the daily care plans
Administering medication
Providing personal care
Assisting at meal times
Accompanying residents on outings
Assisting residents to be as independent as possible
Ensuring that good housekeeping is maintained throughout the site
Maintaining the security of the building

The sites themselves are very well maintained and you can quickly get to know and build rapport with the residents, they provide a great working environment.
