With these diligent professionals in mind, ASA Recruitment are seeking compassionate qualified Nurses with caring natures who are keen to make the difference to West Lothian’s vulnerable and elderly population. Based in one of client’s West Lothian based care and nursing homes, you will be required to apply your warm-hearted character and experience in nursing in order to deliver high quality care to the homes’ elderly residents.

Earning up to £20 per hour, the typical duties of a Nurse based within one of our clients care homes in West Lothian encompass but are not limited to:

• Performing physical examinations and health histories before making critical decisions
• Advocating the promotion of health and educating individuals and their family members on this (where appropriate)
• Administering medications and other additional individual’s interventions and/or treatments.
• Coordinating care plans, in collaboration with a number of health care professionals such as care assistants, physiotherapists and senior staff

Working in partnership with additional health and social care professions will aid you, as a nurse, to gain a real holistic understanding of a patient’s well being, using your shared expertise. This will encourage a more efficient approach to monitoring patient’s behaviour and general health which in turn should lead to more tailored care and therefore better outcomes for these vulnerable individuals in West Lothian.

In order to be considered for the role of a qualified Nurse in one of West Lothian’s nursing homes, you must:

• Be a qualified Registered General Nurse/Registered Mental Health Nurse (with current UK Pin no. with NMC)
• Be a member of the PVG scheme and have the willingness to undergo an update
• Have a minimum of six months post qualified nursing experience, ideally within the private sector
• Be a strong clinical leader yet approachable by colleagues, patients and family members alike
• Have a genuine interest in improving the care for the elderly
