Are you an experienced Developer looking to take on a contract opportunity within a prestigious large scale project in the public sector?

ASA are looking for a React/Java Script Developer to join the public sector in Glasgow. This contract opportunity would be perfect for an individual who could provide expert knowledge and advice in React Single Page Application development to the existing team of 5 ASP.NET Web Forms developers.

The Developer Role:

A major part of the application is its electronic forms capability. Health Boards are able to design their own forms which end users can then complete. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading on the design and development of this part of the functionality. It is critical that at the end of the contract the existing team understand and can maintain this part of the application.

Successful candidates for the Developer role will require knowledge in:

• Writing application software in a team environment
• JavaScript
• React, Redux, React-Router
• Unit testing of React code / components, e.g. jest, enzyme, etc.
• Performance testing of SPAs
• Source Code Control (SVN, GIT, etc.)
• Single Page Applications
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, particularly explaining React concepts and design patterns
• Ability to fit in and work in a small team
• Mentoring less experienced developers

This is a contract position that falls outside of IR35
