Learning & Development Manager

ASA Recruitment are working on behalf of a major public sector client in the Highlands to recruit a full time temporary Learning & Development Manager. If you have experience of working in training & development and have management experience then we want to hear from you.

As a Learning & Development Manager your duties will include:-

* Presenting reports and recommendations regarding Learning & Development Strategies and Policies to the Senior Management Team and the Resources Committee
* Ensuring the effective implementation of approved new or revised Strategies, Policies and procedures
* Lead and manage the Learning Development team to ensure the effective delivery of services.
* Develop, co-ordinate and support a leadership development programme / management development programme / elected member development programme / employee development programme
* Ensuring the most effective use of the corporate Learning & Development Budget and other allocated resources
* Designing evaluation and audit procedures to monitor the effectiveness of the Learning & Development strategies and maintain relevant management information.
* Provide effective support to underpin corporate and Service specific transformation
* Manage competence-based skills development across all Services

As a Learning & Development Manager you will have the following essential experience:-

· 10 years’ experience in training and development
· Management of budgets
· Management of medium and long term projects
· Experience of managing people
· MCIPD or other relevant training qualification

It is still to be decided the location of work whether in office or at home, the hours will be Monday to Friday from 09:00 – 17:00.
