If yes, then this contract opportunity for a Health and Safety Advisor to play an integral role in our client’s dynamic response to the changing global health and safety environment that we are currently living in could be for you.

ASA Recruitment are currently looking to recruit a full-time Health and Safety Advisor for an initial 6 month contract The successful candidate will promote a positive safety culture within the clients organisation by ensuring that stakeholders are fully engaged in both safety learning and continuous improvement.

The Role:
· Promote the delivery of high standards of health and safety management throughout the organisation.
· Monitoring the performance of the client’s organisation, its contractors and volunteers in the area of health and safety, through incident investigations, safety audits, safety tours and regular reviews of key on site practices.
· Ensuring that a high standard of up to date specialist advice, focused on organisational needs, is available to line management.
· Provide the business with point of contact for health and safety queries via telephone, email
· Assist investigations into serious incidents. Provide specialist advice to colleagues on high risk or infrequent activities or following incident investigations. Take an active role in high risk and high profile issues
· Provide expert advice and knowledge to the organisations own internal policy committee

Successful candidates for the Health and Safety Advisor role will need:
· NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ level 5 Health and Safety or BSc in Health and Safety
· Effective communication skills
· The ability to create informative and accurate reports
· Extensive knowledge of and understanding of H&S Policy, Safety Principles, Standards and Processes, effective health and safety strategies and best practice
· Driving licence and access to own vehicle.
