CNC Operator – API Threading Operator

Description

ASA Recruitment are currently recruiting for a nightshift CNC Operator (API Threading Operator) for their client based in the Altens area of Aberdeen.

Purpose :

To perform the operation of API threading on pipes and couplings, in a safe and efficient manner according to applicable procedures. Complying with defined quality standards.

Responsibilities :

* Commit with health, safety and environmental policies and notify situations that present potential risk.
* Ensure product quality complying with defined standards and reporting deviations
* Carry out duties in an effective manner
* Perform activities according to applicable procedures
* Ensure proper use of the company assets, detecting and reporting malfunctioning
* Attend and collaborate in training activities in order to maintain and increase company knowledge

Role :

* Executes change over and set up of the machine
* Performs lathe or PMC operations
* Performs API or lower quality threads on pipes or couplings
* Carries out end deburring
* Performs chips and cleaning
* Changes machine tools
* Assists with machine lock outs and tag outs and does operative maintenance (cooling fluid, machine adjustments etc)
* Updates information in the tracking systems

Qualifications :

* Health & Safety Environment
* Quality System
* Operation on the job training
* Product inspection where applicable
* Certification where applicable
